Time to relax!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! I love the holidays, but am so glad when all of the rushing around like a chicken with my head cutoff is done!! I am one of those people that doesn't ever start shopping early. My kids would be thrilled if I did!! You see, and yes I admit it, I cannot keep a secret very well. I will buy something and put it away and then one day out of the blue, just give it to them. On the flip side, I save alot of money by waiting until the final rush. I couldn't believe the sales!!

I haven't quite gotten used to our girls not wanting to go and see Santa and not having to leave out milk and cookies for the fat man. I remember when they would swear that they heard the reindeer on the roof and heard Santa come in the middle of the night. It really bums me out that they aren't really into that anymore. We never even got to watch my Christmas movies this year!!

Yesterday was my birthday, so we went out to the movies and seen "Bedtime Stories". What a cute movie. It was much better than the last Disney movie, "Bolt". That one was really a disappointment!! We had a great day, no stress and no slaving away.

Well, the husband just walked in and dinner isn't ready...... gotta go!!

December 17, 2008

Well, this is all new to me!! Between asking my sister and oldest daughter how to navigate the internet and all of the features that it offers and how to use my cell phone and all of the features I'm getting upto speed with everyone else out there.

I have a pretty typical story to my life. I work for a delivery company as a supervisor, supposedly only part-time. This however requires about 40 hours a week this time of year. I love what I do, but sometimes think that I should have been a teacher or opened a daycare. You expect temper tantrums and whinning from children, however it's sometimes humorous, aggrevating and down right pathetic from adults.

I have been married to my husband for the last 14 years and dated for 5 years prior to our marriage. Some days, like the majority I'm sure, I love him to pieces and remind myself how lucky that I am, and others.... we'll just say I have to reference back those adorable dimples and count to 10. We have two wonderful daughters. They are 12 and 10. Our 12 year old is definitly the "Drama Queen" of our palace. Don't get me wrong, we are so proud of her. She is a smart, energetic, athletic, blonde hair, blue eyed little girl. She is just at the age where sometimes they have to be reminded that "no you don't have all of the answers just yet, dear!" Our youngest is the most sincere, helpful, shy, and much more reserved child. She is also athletic, smart, loving, blonde hair, blue eyed softhearted "mother." I call her this because she yells at the oldest one for me and sets her straight on what is exceptable and what's not.

I'm sure I will have some stories down the road that may be a little more interesting and comical, but for now at least I figured out how to start a blog!! Maybe there is hope for me yet!!
Til' next time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
